Objective: to identify the driving and restrictive forces involved in the maternity process for newborns hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit.Method: descriptive and exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, which uses the Force Field Theory as a reference. Ten mothers participated. Data were collected from September to December 2014, through a semi-structured interview, and submitted to content analysis.Results: effective communication, inclusion of the family in care, teamwork, learning and adequate physical space served as forces that fostered mothering. Authoritative behaviors, stigmas related to the neonatal intensive care unit, lack of specialized care, failure to perform care for the newborn, physical fatigue, emotional stress and changes in the daily routine acted as forces that restricted the mothering process.Conclusion: identifying the field of forces made it possible to understand factors and situations that influence mothering and to diagnose the true biopsychosocial demands of mothers of hospitalized newborns. Resultados: comunicación efectiva, inclusión de la familia en el cuidado, trabajo en equipo, aprendizaje y espacio físico adecuado actuaron como fuerzas que impulsaron la maternidad. Las conductas autoritarias, estigmas relacionadas con la unidad de terapia intensiva neonatal, falta de asistencia especializada, no realizar cuidados al recién nacido, cansancio físico, estrés emocional y cambios en la rutina diaria actuaron como fuerzas que restringieron la maternidad. DESCRIPTORS:Conclusión: identificar el campo de fuerzas posibilitó comprender factores y situaciones que influencian la maternidad y diagnosticar las verdaderas demandas biopsicosociales de las madres de los recién nacidos hospitalizados.DESCRIPTORES: Niño hospitalizado. Objective: to develop the concept ambience for labor and normal institutionalized delivery, identifying in the literature its antecedent, defining attributes and the consequent. Method: the method used was the analysis of literature, corresponding to the first stage of the qualitative method of concept analysis. The theoretical operation was performed in the databases CINAHL COCHRANE, LILACS, PsycINFO, and PubMed. Results: aspects of the parturient woman and the qualification of the physical and social space are presented as the antecedent. The defining attributes outline the assistance interaction process with Non-Invasive Technologies. As the consequent, we highlight the outcome for normal delivery, pain relief and comfort, woman satisfaction and well-being. Final considerations: the analysis of the antecedent, defining attributes and the consequent allowed the elaboration of an unprecedent theoretical proposition of this concept. RESUMOObjetivo: elaborar o conceito ambiência para trabalho de parto e parto normal institucionalizado, identificando na literatura seus antecedentes, atributos definidores e consequentes. Método: empregou-se o método da análise crítica da literatura, correspondendo à primeira etapa da metodologia qualitativa de análise de conceito. A exploração teórica foi realizada nas bases de dados CINAHL, COCHRANE, LILACS, PsycINFO e PubMed. Resultados: elementos referentes à parturiente e à qualificação do espaço físico e social são apresentados como antecedentes. Os atributos definidores delineiam o processo de interação assistencial com o uso das Tecnologias Não Invasivas. Como consequentes, destacam-se desfecho para o parto normal, alívio e conforto da dor, satisfação e bem-estar da parturiente. Considerações finais: a análise dos antecedentes, atributos definidores e consequentes permitiu elaborar uma proposição teórica inédita desse conceito. ABSTRACT. The objective of this study is to propose an action plan for the communication process in the nursing team. The theoretical references were: the model of a communication process proposed by Berlo and essential concepts of King´s Theory. It is a qualitative, convergent-care research. The data production technique was the semi-structured interview with 25 nurses of a public hospital. Data used the thematic content analysis technique. The elements of the communication team are: perception, self, space, time, stress, role, authority, power, status, audience, empathy and nonverbal communication. The plan proposes a dynamic, flexible, interactive and relational communication process, in order to contribute to the professional qualification and make new practices of care viable. It was concluded that its elements do not have a fixed and stable position, but throughout the process they are used according to the needs of each party.Keywords: communication barriers. nursing team. nursing theory.Plano de ação para o processo de comunicação da equipe de enfermagem RESUMO. Objetiva-se propor um plano de ação para o processo de comunicação na equipe de enfermagem. Os referenciais teóricos são: o modelo de um processo de comunicação proposto por Berlo e os conceitos essenciais da teoria de King. Pesquisa qualitativa, convergente-assistencial. A técnica de produção dos dados foi a entrevista semiestruturada, com 25 profissionais de enfermagem de um hospital público. Aos dados foram aplicadas as técnicas de análise de conteúdo temática. Os elementos que integram a comunicação da equipe são: percepção, self, espaço, tempo, estresse, papel, autoridade, poder, status, audiência, empatia e comunicação não verbal. O plano propõe um processo de comunicação dinâmico, flexível, interativo e relacional, de modo a contribuir para a qualificação profissional e viabilização de novas práticas de cuidado. Concluiu-se que seus elementos não possuem um lugar fixo e estável, mas que ao longo do processo são usados de acordo com a necessidade de cada interlocutor.Palavras-chave: barreiras de comunicação. equipe de assistência ao paciente. teoria de enfermagem.
