“…The male palp is slightly similar to that of T. caaguara Rodrigues & Ott 2005b, T. esmeraldas Dupérré & Tapia 2017, T. circuloargenteum Wunderlich 1976, and T. taiwanica Zhang, Zhu & Tso 2006 in lacking a conductor projection but distinguished by the presence of two parallel embolic apophyses. The female genitalia of the new species is slightly similar to that of T. chiripa Rodrigues & Ott 2005a and T. taiwanica in lacking sclerotized processes, and the edge of the genital plate posteriorly curved, distinguished by angular lateral corners of genital plate, with the genitalia longer than the width (distance between posterior edge of genital plate and anterior edge of spermathecae is longer than the width of genital plate) in the new species (Figs. 6E, F; 12I, J; Rodrigues & Ott 2005a;Zhang et al 2006).…”

“…Mysmenidae, Theridiosomatidae and Symphytognathidae generic rank identification were relatively easy thanks to contributions to the taxonomy of these families (Coddington 1986;Gertsch 1960Gertsch , 1971Lopardo & Hormiga 2015;Forster & Platnick 1977); however, their knowledge in Neotropical regions have presented slow progress where only species descriptions for specific areas are available (Brescovit et al 2004;Dupérré & Tapia 2017;Rheims & Brescovit 2003;Rodrigues & Ott 2005a, 2005b. For Theridiosomatidae, both Epilineutes Coddington, 1986 species and one Theridiosoma O. Pickard-Cambridge are probably new taxa.…”
