Abstract: A piomiosite tropical (PT) também pode ser chamada de piomiosite primária, miosite infecciosa, purulenta ou supurativa, miosite purulenta tropical, abscesso epidêmico ou miosite bacteriana 5 . Trata-se de uma infecção primária de qualquer grupamento muscular, geralmente causada pelo Staphylococus aureus.
