Abstract: Se describe el aporte de la prueba de doble disfusión arco 5 (DD5) al diagnóstico de la hidatidosis en dos pacientes con operaciones previas. En una de ellas, asintomática, la reacción positiva a los cinco años de su última intervención quirúrgica por hidatidosis, permitió diagnosticar la presencia de quistes cuya localización abdominal fue establecida por la tomografía axial computada (TAC).
