Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To analyze the spatial distribution of mortality due to motorcycle accidents in the state of Pernambuco, Northeastern Brazil. “…The evolution of mortality rates from land transport accidents showed that the death rates by motorcycle accidents, which were close to zero during the 1980s, increased up to 4.0 per 100 thousand inhabitants for male (SOUZA et al, 2007).
