Abstract: Fruit and vegetable intake in the adult population of Sao Paulo was higher among women, and was influenced by age, schooling, and diet.

“…5,7,13,[18][19][20] Our study used FFQ to assess the fruit and vegetable intake and the results were consistent with those obtained by Brazilian investigations that used short questions. 6,9 Therefore, we believe that the use of the FFQ in the present work did not influence the assessment of the level of fruit and vegetable intake and allowed a more accurate identification of the consumed food items.
