Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To analyze the cultural meanings of infantile asthma from the perspective of the mother/carer of the child. METHODOLOGICAL PROCEDURES:Qualitative research conducted in 2004, in the city of Fortaleza (Northeastern Brazil).
