Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To estimate the prevalence and describe the distribution of trachoma among schoolchildren in Brazilian municipalities. METHODS:Cross-sectional study, using cluster sampling, of the schoolchildren population of the Brazilian municipalities with Human Development IndexMunicipal lower than the national average.
