“…To establish the the methods proposed by Anganoy-Criollo (2013), as follow. For we examined all free-swimming tadpoles of dendrobatoid frogs captured with the type series of this species and the back-riding tadpoles described by Mueses-Cisneros (2008). We compared the features of metamorphosing tadpoles (such as the oblique lateral stripe, features of the feet, and the color pattern of legs) with those of adult to verify our Anganoy-Criollo (2013; e.g., upper jaw sheath, examined.…”

“…Based on the total evidence analysis, Grant (2006) to include only Group and exclude (Boulenger, 1884) and (Silverstone, 1976); the latter two species were placed in Zimmerman and Zimmerman, 1988. sensu Grant (2006Grant ( , 2017) is a trans-Andean taxon foothills of the western Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, northern Peru, and one isolated species of doubtful provenance from western Panama (Myers 1982, Jungfer 2017. Currently, the genus includes eight species: (Noble, 1921), (Barbour, 1909), E. The morphology of dendrobatoid (i.e., aromobatid and dendrobatid) tadpoles has been crucial to our understanding of the relationships relevant contributions was that of Savage (1968) who used some larval characters to diagnose three groups of poison frogs-viz., Cope, 1866, Wagler, 1830, and .…”
