Abstract:RESUMO Em 1533, o humanista português Damião de Góis esteve com o monge etíope Sāgā za-Ab em Lisboa, em conversas sobre a religião cristã, pedindo que ele fizesse uma síntese de seus dogmas e prometendo verter o texto para o latim, o que resultou no opúsculo Fides, religio moresque Aethiopum (1540).
