Such a psychology should not be based on the contrast between rural and urban environments (Albuquerque & Pimentel, 2004;Malone, 2011;Pizzinato et al, 2015) because, besides being the result of an unrealistic, stereotyped approach, it would lead to understanding rurality, again, from and in terms of the characteristics and dynamics of urban spaces and not its own.
