Objective: To analyze sexual and reproductive health indicators of adolescents based on data from the National School-based Health Survey (PeNSE) in 2015, comparing them to the data from 2009 and 2012. Methods: Cross-sectional study that has analyzed data from 9 th grade students from PeNSE 2015, 2012 and 2009. We estimated prevalence and 95% confidence intervals for the following indicators: sexual initiation, condom use in the last sexual intercourse, counseling for pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections and free condoms in the three rounds of the survey. Prevalence of all indicators accessed in 2015 was estimated according to sex, type of school and region. Pearson's χ 2 test was used. Results: The prevalence of sexual initiation reported by adolescents has decreased from 30.5%, in 2009, to 27.5%, in 2015, as well as the use of condom in the last intercourse, from 75.9 to 66.2%, respectively. In respect to counseling, there was a reduction regarding pregnancy prevention in public schools, from 81.1 to 79.3% and in relation to free condom in private schools, from 65.4 to 57.3%. About 30% reported using both condom and another contraceptive method, and 19.5% did not use any method. Boys presented greater prevalence of sexual initiation, higher number of partners and reduced prevalence of condom use. Adolescents living in North, Northeast and Central-West regions presented worse indicators. Conclusion: There was a reduction in sexual initiation and condom use among Brazilian adolescents, boys were more vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections, and girls from public schools were more vulnerable to pregnancy.

Objective: to analyze the factors associated with the consistent use of the male condom among women living with HIV/aids. Method: an analytical study with a quantitative approach involving 140 women living with HIV/aids who at the time of the study had an active sexual life and receiving follow-up care at the Specialized Care Services. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire via individual interview and were later analyzed using the version 17.0 of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences software. Results: it was identified that the longer diagnostic time (p=0.029); (p=0.030), non-use of alcohol (p=0.022), and other drugs (p<0.001) prior to intercourse were factors associated with consistent condom use. Conclusion: strategies are needed to encourage women and their partners to use condoms in sex, as it is a proven method for the preventon of HIV transmission and acts as a barrier against other sexually transmitted infections.

RESUMOObjetivo: apreender as representações sociais de jovens estudantes sobre a prevenção em HIV/Aids. Métodos: trata-se de pesquisa exploratória, qualitativa, guiada pela Teoria das Representações Sociais, em três escolas de Ensino Médio da rede pública, com 70 estudantes, de ambos os sexos e idades entre 18 e 29 anos. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se instrumento baseado na técnica de associação livre de palavras, com termo indutor "prevenção em HIV/Aids. As evocações foram lematizadas, codificadas e processadas pelo software EVOC, versão 2005. Resultados: os dados apontaram um número maior de jovens do sexo feminino (57,14%), negros (84,28%), heterossexuais (92,85%) e que já tinham iniciado a atividade sexual (95,71%). O núcleo central apresentou os termos "camisinha, doença, prevenção e sexo" como estruturantes das representações sociais dos jovens acerca da prevenção em HIV/Aids. Conclusão: a ideia de prevenção situa-se no uso do preservativo, enquanto tecnologia disponível, frente a doenças transmitidas pela prática sexual desprotegida. Logo, espera-se que as práticas sexuais entre jovens aconteçam de forma segura, prazerosa e responsável. The core group presented the terms "condom, disease, prevention and sex" as structuring the social representations of young people about HIV/ Aids prevention. Conclusion: the idea of prevention is based on the use of condoms, as an available technology, against diseases transmitted by unprotected sex. Therefore, the sexual practice among young people are expected to happen safely, pleasantly and responsibly.Objetivo: comprender las representaciones sociales de jóvenes estudiantes sobre la prevención en VIH/SIDA. Métodos: se trata de una investigación exploratoria, cualitativa, fundamentada en la Teoría de las Representaciones Sociales, hecha en tres escuelas de Enseñanza Secundaria de la red pública, con 70 estudiantes, de ambos los sexos y edades entre 18 y 29 años. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizó instrumento basado en la técnica de asociación libre de palabras, con término inductor "prevención en VIH/SIDA".
