Abstract: RESUMOSpasalus ellanae, uma nova eepécie PASSALIDAE (COLEOPTERA) alto rio Negro, Amazonas, Brasil, é descrita e ilustrada. INTRODUÇÃODurante o mês de março de 1990, um grupo de pesquisadores do INPA empreendeu uma viagem ao Município de Sào Gabriel da Cachoeira, alto rio Negro, no Estado do do Amazonas, Brasil, com especial interesse em explorar, do ponto de vista faunistico, a região do Morro dos Seis Lagos.
