Eficiência E Viabilidade Econômica Da Aplicação De Fungicidas No Controle Da Ferrugem Asiática Da Soja Em Campo Grande, MS

Show more

“…Since Asian rust initiates the infection process in the middle and lower thirds of plants, variations in application technology that allow the deposition of fungicides in the lower third of soybean can improve the disease control spectrum, preventing its progression to the younger trifoliate leaves (GASPARETTO et al, 2011;AUGUSTI et al, 2014). In this context, to measure the effect of spray nozzles and application volumes on droplet deposition in the different thirds of soybean plants subjected to fungicide treatments, evaluations of density (number) of droplets per cm 2 were performed.…”

“…Despite the good efficacy of the chemical method, some challenges are still present to increase the efficacy of fungicides against Asian rust, especially those related to application technology (CHECI et al, 2020). To ensure less progress of Asian rust, the fungicide application solution must be deposited in the middle and lower thirds of soybean plants, which constitute the starting point of infection by the fungus (GASPARETTO et al, 2011). In this context, soybean breeders have sought to select materials that have plants with distinct architectures and growth habits in order to favor the penetration of products applied in the crop canopy, which can help improve the efficacy of fungicides (LEE et al, 2011).…”

“…al. 2008;Gasparetto et al 2011). It can also be explained by the less favorable microclimate, shorter period of wetness on the upper side of the leaf and the death of urediniospores due to exposure to sunlight(Zambenedetti et al 2007).…”
