Organizações Não Governamentais de tuberculose do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil: motivações e vínculos na primeira década do século XXI

Abstract: Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa realizada com representantes de Organizações Não Governamentais (Fórum ONGs/TB) no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, para compreender as motivações desses sujeitos ao se afiliarem ao Fórum. A análise de discurso possibilitou entender que o risco de adoecimento ou morte por TB ganhou magnitude com o evento da coinfecção HIV/aids – TB, gerando ações de cooperação entre Estado e sociedade, referenciando a necessidade de se reduzirem os riscos de infecção por tuberculose. “…La TB es una enfermedad desatendida y ha representado un gran desafío para la salud pública brasileña, ya que afecta principalmente a poblaciones en situación de vulnerabilidad social (personas en situación de calle, en el sistema penitenciario, indígenas, entre otros) que enfrentan dificultades para acceder a servicios de salud.
