Abstract: Chest pain constitutes a significant portion of all emergency department (ED) admissions 1 . Approximately 5-20% of patients who enter the ED with chest pain (typical or atypical) are diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) 2 . This syndrome is one of the leading causes of death 3 .
