Show more

“…On the 14th day of culture, fixation of the BM-MSCs occurred by interaction with the biomaterial. Consistent with the studies of Alberti & Xu (2016) and Santana, Neto & Sá (2014) , the presence of cytoplasmic projections and normal cell morphology are factors that confirm cytocompatibility between the BCM scaffold and cells.…”

Consistent with the studies of Alberti and Xu (2016) and Santana et al (2014), the presence of cytoplasmic projections and normal cell morphology are factors that confirm cytocompatibility between the BCM scaffold and cells. Equilibrium in immune system cell activation also reflects a tissue's regenerative quality.…”

“…Although CG has been evaluated in other studies, research using suture yarns prepared with this material is scarce, thus justifying the experimental use of this yarn in laparorrhaphy and cecorrhaphy. The use of rabbits as experimental models provided important results, because the organism of this animal species reacts against the presence of a foreign body by producing intense cellular reaction, marked by inflammatory reaction of granulomatous characteristic.…”

“…Therefore, it presumably has a higher tensile strength degradation rate than that expected for synthetic yarns such as poliglecaprone. However, no studies have been carried out with CG yarn on biomechanical tests to quantify the its tensile strength …”
