Comparação dos parâmetros bioquímicos entre gestação única e gemelar de ovelhas da raça Dorper durante gestação, parto e pós-parto

Abstract: RESUMO Nas ovelhas, a demanda de nutrientes aumenta durante a gestação, especialmente nas últimas seis semanas, quando ocorre maior desenvolvimento do feto. Show more

“…The higher BW mean found in the G2 group compared to the G1 group from D0 can be justi ed by higher ovulation and proli cacy rates in the G2 group compared to the G1 group (Santarosa et al 2019a).…”

“…Adhikari et al (2018) found a suppression of glucagon secretion when animals were exposed to high energy diets. In the present experiment, the animals were maintained under the same nutritional diet; however, during pregnancy there was fatty acids mobilisation, with changes in cholesterol and triglycerides levels (Santarosa et al, 2019a), that can generate a negative feedback of glucagon secretion. Glucagon concentration showed large oscillations among sample time points and between groups analysed in the present study, although it did not represent a metabolic change due to pregnancy.…”

“…Particularly during this period, it is of utmost importance that feed be supplied in sufficient quantity and quality-as was done in the present study-to minimize weight losses. Weight loss can be influenced by the quality and quantity of available feed, the number of animals fed, environmental factors, and productive potential of the ewe (Campos et al, 2019;Santarosa et al, 2019;Gurgel et al, 2020). The similar performance of the ewes in the different treatment groups indicates that age at weaning is not an influential factor; i.e., they may accompany their lambs for 60 or 90 days (Table 3).…”
