“…The terms "PSF" and "ESF" (Family Health Strategy) are those that, over time, obtained a more significant number of citations with maximum value in the period 2010-2014, when they then decrease and are overtaken by the term "APS" between 2019 and 2020. With the creation of SAPS/MS in May 2019 12 and the new federal PHC funding model -"Previne Brasil" 13 -, the use of Portuguese terms "atenção primária", "atenção primária à saúde" are expected to be consolidated and achieve a higher number of citations from 2020 (Graph 2). We highlight that, in 2020, Graph 2 records in the "2019-2020" period only works published until April 2020 (that is, 16 months), a period much shorter than the others used for its elaboration (48 months).…”

“…In 2019, the beginning of Jair Bolsonaro's administration marked an ideological shift to the extreme right in Brazil, causing profound changes in a set of federal government policies. In health, the government listed PHC as a priority, creating a specific secretariat for the area in the Ministry of Health 24 . However, the change in the PHC financing model will affect the SUS and the health of the population, which must be identified and monitored, especially given the long-term maintenance of fiscal austerity measures that should aggravate the public health under financing in the country.…”

“…After the current President took office in January 2019, one of the first actions by the Ministry of Health, besides compromising the effect of equity policies through significant structural changes [ 50 ], was to extinct the special department for indigenous health, as well as the indigenous special health districts [ 51 ]. This hygienist and homogenizing view sought to incorporate indigenous care within the context of the general population; thus, not considering the historical inequities these peoples have suffered over the ascension of a discourse based on a so-called “universal Brazilian citizen,” as mentioned by the Brazilian Education Minister during the tragic ministerial meeting of April 2020, in which he stated his hate for the “indigenous peoples” because there is only the “Brazilian people.” Also, during 2019, the presidential decree was revoked during a hearing of the Senate Commission on Human Rights organized by the Brazil’s Indigenous People Articulation.…”
