Objective: to reflect on the contributions and limits of the Institutional Socio-clinic as a theoretical-methodological approach in nursing and health research.Method: a reflection study developed by outlining the modalities to conduct the Institutional Socio-clinic approach: socioanalytical intervention, institutional analysis of professional practices, action-research and socioanalytical research.Result: the institutional socio-clinic is a continuity of the theoretical-methodological approach of Lourau's socioanalysis, an institutional analysis current in the French line. It proposes eight guiding principles: order and demand analysis; the subjects' participation in the device; work of the analyzers; analysis of the transformations that occur as the work advances; application of restitution modalities; work of primary and secondary implications; intention to produce knowledge and attention to the contexts; and institutional interferences. The contributions are related to the logic of transforming to know, collective knowledge production and knowledge and learning exchange between participants and researchers. The challenges are related to the rupture of the dominant logic in research and the inclusion of knowledge and power differences in the knowledge production.Conclusion: the institutional socio-clinic can articulate the transformation of practices and the knowledge production. The reference framework offers important support in the field of knowledge production in nursing and health because it values the subjectivity of the stakeholders and the institutions that cross the practices and relationships throughout the research process. 1 Entre o ser e o fazer: as implicações dos profissionais de saúde/preceptores na efetivação do autocuidado do diabético Between being and doing: the implications of health professionals / preceptors in the effectiveness of diabetic self-care Entre ser y hacer: las implicaciones de los profesionales de la salud / preceptores en la efectividad del autocuidado diabético Resumo Este artigo tem o objetivo de analisar as implicações pessoais, profissionais e ideológicas com as diferentes instituições que permeiam as práticas dos profissionais de saúde/preceptores na efetivação do ensino do autocuidado ao diabético. Trata-se de uma pesquisa intervenção, com abordagem qualitativa, utilizando o referencial teórico-metodológico da Análise Institucional, em sua modalidade Socioclínica Institucional. Realizou-se três encontros de intervenção nos moldes da Socioclínica Institucional com os preceptores que desenvolvem atividades de Research, Society and Development, v. 9, n. 4, e74942380, 2020 (CC BY 4.0) | ISSN 2525-3409 | DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.33448/rsd-v9i4.2380 2 consultas, visitas domiciliares e grupos educativos direcionados à promoção do autocuidado de indivíduos portadores de diabetes mellitus na Estratégia Saúde da Família. Os resultados revelam que as dificuldades dos profissionais de saúde/preceptores em efetuar o autocuidado estão relacionadas a três elementos: o autocuidado consigo (o Ser), o autocuidado na assistência (o Fazer) e o autocuidado na preceptoria (o Ser e o Fazer). Consideramos que este artigo abriu possibilidades para que outros estudos sejam realizados de maneira a efetivar o manejo do autocuidado ao diabético, ao contribuir para um repensar sobre as ações dos profissionais de saúde na assistência e na preceptoria e revelar nuances de práticas instituintes naquele espaço instituído pelas regras e normas das instituições saúde e educação. Estar ciente das nossas limitações e dificuldades, e realizar a análise de nossas implicações, poderá constituir-se como um facilitador no desenvolvimento de práticas educativas relacionadas ao entendimento do outro como um ser também de necessidades e de desejos. AbstractThis article aims to analyze the personal, professional and ideological implications with the different institutions that permeate the practices of health professionals/preceptors in the realization of the teaching of self-care to diabetics. This is an intervention research, with a qualitative approach, using the theoretical-methodological framework of Institutional Analysis, in its Institutional Socioclinical modality. There were three intervention meetings along the lines of Institutional Socioclinics with the preceptors who develop consultation activities, home visits and educational groups aimed at promoting the self-care of individuals with diabetes mellitus in the Family Health Strategy.
