Objective: to analyze admissions for primary care sensitive conditions among pregnant women, and the associated factors, based on the process of prenatal care, in a city of the center-west of the Brazilian State of Paraná (Brazil).Method: this is an inquiry into hospital morbidity undertaken with a sample of 86 pregnant women admitted to hospitals serving the Unified Health System.Results: the percentage of admissions was 70.97% (n=59), with emphasis placed on admissions specifically during the period of pregnancy (51.17%), among which, admissions due to infections in the genitourinary tract were the most frequent. The following were associated with the risk of admission due to a sensitive condition: incomplete records in the woman's 'pregnancy card' (cartão da gestante), delayed initiation of prenatal care (after the second trimester), insufficient number of consultations and insufficient care during the consultation. Conclusion:the results suggest that a minimumlevel of care for these pregnant women would reduce the risk of unnecessary admission, evidencing that the quality of care provided during the prenatal period in this region is inadequate. INTERNAÇÕES SENSÍVEIS À ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA EM GESTANTES: FATORES ASSOCIADOS A PARTIR DO PROCESSO DA ATENÇÃO PRÉ-NATAL RESUMOObjetivo: analisar as internações por condições sensíveis à atenção primária em gestantes e os fatores associados a partir do processo da atenção pré-natal em um município pólo do Centro-oeste paranaense (Brasil).Método: trata-se de um inquérito de morbidade hospitalar realizado com amostra de 86 gestantes internadas em hospitais conveniados ao Sistema Único de Saúde.Resultados: o percentual de internações foi de 70,97% (n=59), com destaque para as internações específicas do período gravídico (51,17%), das quais as internações por infecções no trato geniturinário foram as mais frequentes. Associaram-se ao risco de internar por condição sensível: registro incompleto do cartão da gestante, início tardio da assistência pré-natal (a partir do 2° trimestre), número insuficiente de consultas e conduta clínica inadequada durante a consulta.Conclusão: os resultados sugerem que um acompanhamento mínimo dessas gestantes diminuiria o risco de internações desnecessárias pressupondo que a qualidade da assistência prestada durante o pré-natal na região apresenta-se insuficiente. Objective: describe hospitalizations for ambulatory care sensitive chronic conditions in the state of Paraná, Brazil from 2000 to 2011 method: epidemiological ecological study was to. After descriptive analysis of the data, hospitalization indicators were developed to describe the results.Results: this study's findings suggest that efforts to implement and expand Primary Health Care in Paraná in the last decade resulted in a decrease in the proportion of hospitalizations for ambulatory care sensitive conditions and the average number of hospitalizations for noncommunicable chronic diseases, though the ratio of hospitalizations to resident population has increased. conclusion: attention should be specifically paid to certain causes of hospitalization, such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, to further minimize hospitalizations for Cerebrovascular Diseases and Congestive Heart Failure, which remained high. método: estudo epidemiológico, do tipo ecológico. Após análise descritiva dos dados, foram elaborados indicadores de internações para descrever os achados da pesquisa. DeScRIPTORSResultados: os esforços para implantação e ampliação da Atenção Primária à Saúde no Paraná, na última década, têm refletido na redução da proporção das internações por causas sensíveis à atenção primária e no número médio de internações por doenças crônicas não transmissíveis. Porém, a razão de internações sofreu um crescimento.conclusão: determinadas causas de internações como a hipertensão e diabetes mellitus devem ser olhadas especificamente na Atenção Primária à Saúde, a fim de minimizar ainda mais as internações por doenças cerebrovasculares e insuficiência cardíaca congestiva, que se mantiveram elevadas. RESUMOO estudo tem como objetivo relatar uma ação educativa sobre Higienização Íntima e Infecções Sexualmente Transmissíveis (IST) no Ambulatório de Mastologia da Maternidade Escola de Fortaleza-CE, evidenciando a prevenção de agravos na saúde da mulher. Trata-se de um relato de experiência realizado no Ambulatório de Mastologia da Maternidade Escola Assis Chateaubriand (MEAC) que pertence ao Complexo Hospitalar da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). A atividade foi ministrada por duas residentes multiprofissionais por meio de palestra com informações sobre práticas de higiene íntima e IST. A abordagem inicial foi por meio de placas impressas que continham dúvidas sobre as situações de prevenção dos agravos à saúde íntima. A cada pergunta as pacientes eram convidadas a opinar sobre tais interrogações, respondendo "mito" ou "verdade" e depois era exposta a forma correta de agir. A atividade contou com a participação de 14 mulheres entre adultas e idosas, pacientes e acompanhantes, além de alguns do sexo masculino que também ouviram as orientações. Durante a exposição, houve a integração das pacientes expondo em relatos suas experiências diárias sobre aspectos de higiene íntima, presença de doenças e dúvidas acerca das condutas adequadas. Observou-se, assim, que a ação educativa foi proveitosa e esclarecedora para sanar as dúvidas das mulheres participantes, além de contribuir na formação dos profissionais residentes objetivando qualificação na busca de estratégias de promoção e prevenção em saúde nos serviços de saúde. HEALTH EDUCATION ABOUT WOMEN'S INTIMATE HYGIENE AND SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS: EXPERIENCE REPORT ABSTRACTThis study aims at reporting an educational action about Intimate Hygiene and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in the Mastology Outpatient Clinic from the Maternity School in Fortaleza-CE, highlighting the prevention of women's health injuries. It is an experience report carried out in the Mastology Outpatient Clinic from the Assis Chateaubriand Maternity School (MEAC) that belongs to the Hospital Complex of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). The activity was ministered by two multiprofessional residents through speeches with information about intimate hygiene and STIs. The initial approach was developed with printed cards which contained topics about the prevention of injuries associated with intimate health. For each question the patients were invited to give their opinion on such questions, answering "myth" or "true", and afterwards the correct way of acting was exposed. The activity had the participation of 14 women among adults and elderly, patients and companions, as well as some men who also listened to the orientations. During the exposition, the patients participated reporting their daily experience about the intimate hygiene, presence of diseases and questions about the appropriate actions. It was observed, thus, that the educational action was useful and enlightening to take away doubt...
