Changes on structural characteristics of cellulose pulp fiber incubated for different times in anaerobic digestate

Abstract: Background:The objective of the present work was to investigate the influence of a pre-treatment of microbial-rich digestate (liquid mesophilic anaerobic digestate -AD-supernatant) on the morphology, crystallinity, and thermal stability of cellulose pulp fiber. Results:The six most abundant bacteria in the AD-supernatant were determined by 16S analysis. The bacteria population was comprised mostly of Bacteroides graminisolvens (66%) and Parabacteroides chartae (28%). Enzymatic activity from the bacteria partia… Show more

“…3. The peaks at 2θ=14.8° and 2θ=16.3° corresponds to two overlapped weaker diffraction assigned of the (1-10) and (110) lattice planes (Besbes et al 2011), a sharp peak at 2θ=22.5°, which is assigned to the (200) lattice (French 2014a), and small and broad peak at 2θ = 34.5° represents the contribution of ( 040) plane (French 2014b;Tonoli et al 2021). Only one peak (2θ = 22.5) is observed in the re ective pattern of the fresh pineapple peel.…”
