Resumo Este estudo bibliográfico tem o objetivo de examinar estudos de avaliação da atenção primária à saúde (APS) no Brasil, enfatizando principalmente o desenho metodológico adotado e características-chave de avaliação. Foram consultadas as bases Scientific Electronic Library Online, Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, utilizando-se a combinação de vocabulários estruturados para indexação e buscando-se artigos publicados entre 2007 e 2017 que abordassem informações originárias de avaliação em serviços brasileiros de APS. Foram selecionados 41 artigos, sendo analisadas, entre outras variáveis, ano de publicação, modalidade do artigo, serviço de APS investigado, desenho metodológico, características avaliativas e desdobramentos e potencialidades oportunizados pela avaliação. Dos 41 produtos de pesquisa, a maioria originou-se de estudos de campo (86,8%) e foi desenvolvida exclusivamente em Unidades de Saúde da Família (48,9%). Quanto aos aspectos metodológicos, observou-se o predomínio de abordagens quantitativas, sendo o Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool) o instrumento mais utilizado nos estudos. Observou-se também que a produção nacional sobre a avaliação em APS refletiu o cenário histórico-político nacional de estruturação desse nível de atenção e assumiu, em sua maioria, características de pesquisa avaliativa com enfoque na avaliação da qualidade. A revisão informa o panorama nacional acerca da avaliação na APS, que denotou o pluralismo conceitual e prático que envolve essa área, mas também limitações e desafios.

Objectives: to evaluate the effectiveness of Family Health Strategy (FHS) on child's health indicators in São Paulo State. Methods: longitudinal ecological study involving all the towns in São Paulo State from 1998 to 2009. The outcomes were the coefficients of infant mortality and its components and the rate for pneumonia and diarrhea hospitalizations. The main independent variable was "FHS coverage"; the covariates considered the context of sociodemographic and the health system. Negative binomial regression models of fixed effects and STRATA 11.1 statistical program were used. Results: FHS coverage above 50% showed a protective effect in relation to the postneonatal mortality (RR: 0.93; CI 95%: 0.87-1.00) and coverage up to 50% (RR 0.88 CI95% 0.82-0.99) or above 50% (RR: 0.87; CI95%: 0.82-0.92) were protective factors for pneumonia hospitalizations. Conclusions: the effectiveness of FHS on the outcomes related to child's health may vary according to local and regional contexts.

Introduction: the Health School Programme (HSP) should be understood as a permanent development process. In this context, the actions of a policy aimed at children and adolescentsare paramount in the HSP. Objective: to identify and describe the actions developed by the Family Health Group in the HSP, from the National Programme for ImprovingAccess and Quality of Primary Care (PIPCAQ). Methods: this cross-sectional research used secondary data collected fromthe 17,202 groups who joined PIPCAQ in 2012. Results: all regions showed significant results concerning the execution of school activities. the Northern region was the one that performed most school actions (80.5%), followed by the Northeast, Midwest, South and Southeast, respectively. However, some items, such as professional training in education and health work need to be streng the ned. Conclusion: HSP in Brazil has mobilised significant actions, even though it has not happened in homogeneously in all Brazilian regions.
