Abstract: New philosophical practices (NPP) are developing in schools from preschool to secondary level, as well as in health care settings. A classroom community of inquiry is a group of children who inquire together about common problematic issues in such a way that they build on each other's ideas, offer each other counterexamples, question each other's inferences and encourage each other to come up with alternative views and solutions to the problem at hand and follow the inquiry where it leads.
