Abstract: A Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Packet (CERAD-K) was created. The English-American version of CERAD clinical and neuropsychological assessment batteries was translated into Korean, and the psychometrical properties of the cognitive tests in the CERAD-K were established. In the translation, including back-translation, the basic structures of all measures in the original CERAD batteries were maintained. The CERAD-K was administered in a standardized m… Show more

“…The CERAD-NAB assesses a wide variety of cognitive functions, is easy to administer after appropriate training (also by non-psychologists), is standardized, and there are normative values for normal controls from the CERAD registry [6,8,19] and from several observational and longitudinal studies [20,21,22], and from 1,100 elderly Swiss individuals allowing calculation of demographically adjusted (age, gender, and education) standard scores [17,23]. Apart from English and German, the CERAD-NAB has been translated into several languages and validated in different cultures [24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32]. This potentially allows defining POCD as a change in cognition based on demographically adjusted data.…”

“…In addition, regression analyses were performed to determine the contribution of clinical variables (Korean version of the Mini-Mental State Examination 14 and the Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer disease) 15 delayed recall scores) to hippocampal subfield volume. Because the FreeSurfer analysis suite does not provide correction for multiple comparisons in the analysis of hippocampal subfield volume, we set an uncorrected P Ͻ .001 (2-tailed) as a significant threshold in the statistical difference maps.…”

“…Standardized clinical interviews, neurological and physical examinations, and laboratory tests were conducted by geriatric neuropsychiatrists according to the standardized TIA/stroke form from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study, 3 the protocol of the Korean Version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer's Disease clinical assessment battery, 4 and the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview. 5 Stroke and TIA were diagnosed according to the World Health Organization criteria.…”
