“…In addition to ZIKV and DENV, the ongoing threat of a Yellow Fever outbreak in Brazil (Goldani, 2017) and the re-emergence of Ebola in West Africa (Dudas et al, 2017) could lead to substantial worldwide morbidity and mortality. Because our epitope selection method does not rely on any characteristics intrinsic to ZIKV or flaviviruses but instead leverages well-defined structural metrics, we believe that it can be applied to any virus assembly, which can then guide appropriate antibody engineering efforts regardless of the platforms that might be used to actually generate the antibody.…”

“…Broad‐spectrum robust PRT represents an attractive alternative to blood screening using individual or even multiplex NAT assays in areas where arboviruses are often cocirculating and is a proactive strategy that seems more sustainable as pathogens emerge or reemerge . In addition for DENV, due to its mode of action, the PRT system using amotosalen/UVA was shown efficient at inactivating DENV, regardless of the serotype .…”

“…Most yellow fever entries occurred in 2016 and early 2017, corresponding to the outbreaks in Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Brazil, respectively ( Figure 6) (Kraemer et al, 2017;Goldani, 2017). EI activities first picked up a ProMED report about yellow fever in Angola on January 22, 2016, followed by a report from a NOR the same day.…”
