Abstract: It is the first time for a number of years that the disease has appeared on a vessel belonging to our Navy, so early in the season.The last number of the Journal contained the recommendations given by a committee which had been appointed by the Conference of Gulf Quaran¬ tine Authorities, held in New Orleans, Feb. 2 and 3, 1894, with regard to the regulation of the fruit trade during the quarantine season.
