June 2026 Release Notes

This month we focused on meeting you where you already work. Collections are now fully manageable inside the MCP, AI-powered suggestions help you find your next question across the platform, and small teams can now get set up on Scite in minutes. Here's what's new.

Collections in the MCP

Collections now work directly inside the MCP. You can create, update, and manage your Collections without leaving the AI tool you're already working in — whether that's Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any other MCP-enabled client. Your research stays organized in Scite while you work wherever you're most productive.

We also made Collections easier to start and easier to maintain:

  • Blank Collections. Create a Collection from scratch — no seed DOI required. Start with an empty Collection and add papers as you discover them.
  • Saved-search Collections. Collections built from a saved search can now be updated, so they stay current as new literature is published and indexed.

Visit scite.ai/mcp for setup instructions.

AI-Powered Research Suggestions

Starting a search shouldn't mean staring at a blank page. Scite now surfaces AI-powered suggested prompts across three places you already spend time: the Assistant, Search, and your Collections. These contextual suggestions help you frame better questions, explore adjacent topics, and find your next step faster — grounded in Scite's index of 250M+ articles and 1.6B+ citations.

New Help & Feedback Modal

We've redesigned the in-app help and feedback experience. Finding answers and sharing your thoughts with our team is now faster and more accessible from anywhere in the product. We read everything you send, and much of what ships each month starts as a piece of user feedback.

It also includes our new status page so you can check on the status of Scite.

Team Plans

Small teams can now self-serve a Team Plan for up to 10 users. Purchase, invite your colleagues, and get everyone set up in minutes. It's the fastest way to bring citation-backed research to your team.
