July 2026 Release Notes

This month we focused on two things: helping you stay on top of the research that matters to you, and giving you more visibility and control over how you use Scite across your AI tools.

Stay Updated with the New Research Feed

We've combined Feed and Alerts into a single, unified Research Feed. Everything you follow — researchers, topics, papers — now flows into one place, so you can keep up with new developments without digging through scattered notifications.

Alongside it, we've built a centralized Collections feed that streamlines activity across your saved collections into a single, focused view.

• Collections at the center. Track new activity across your collections without leaving the feed.

Track and Increase Your MCP Usage

If you use Scite through the Model Context Protocol, you can now see exactly how you're using it. The new MCP User Dashboard gives signed-in users a clear view of their MCP activity — which tools you're calling and how often — so you can understand where Scite is already powering your research workflows.

More Suggestions Across Assistant and Search

Getting started is now easier. We've added suggested prompts across both the Assistant and Search, giving you concrete starting points and helping you get to answers faster — whether you're exploring a new topic or picking up where you left off.

See Why Your Search Results Matched

Based on your feedback, we've made search results clearer about why they're showing up. Matched terms are now highlighted directly in each result's title, abstract, and Smart Citations, so you can see at a glance what connected a paper to your query — no more guessing why a result made the list.

This makes it faster to scan results, judge relevance, and decide what's worth a closer look.
