The high antioxidant content in fruits of tomato and sweet pepper is determined as a characteristic of nutritive value as well as medical purposes. The analyses snowed that the antioxidant activity was different in cultivars type of tomato and sweet pepper taken for testing. It was shown that the antioxidant activity in a fruit juice of sweet pepper was 2.5 times as much as in tomato juice. The maximum antioxidant activity was observed in hybrids with pink and crimson colored fruits such as N603, Galactika, and also inbred lines of pepper developed by inter-specific crossing of N624 and N1713.
Приведен обзор работ, посвященных изучению генетических, биохимических факторов, обеспечивающих разнообразную окраску плодов томата и результаты девятилетней работы по созданию гибридов и сортов томата типа черри и коктейль с желтой и оранжевой окраской и групповой устойчивостью к болезням. Все разнообразие оттенков окраски определяется сочетанием в геноме генов из пяти локусов, контролирующих синтез пигментов, их накопление и распределение в разных частях плода томатов.A review of the researches devoted to the study of genetic and biochemical factors providing a variety of colouring of tomato fruits is presented in this paper. All spector of colour is determined by genes from 5 loci that control the synthesis of pigments, their accumulation and distribution in different parts of the tomato fruit. Results of nine-year work on creation of hybrids and varieties of cherry tomato with yellow and orange coloring and possessing of group resistance to diseases are presented.
