Picky eater is a child's behavior is unwilling or refuses to eat, or have difficulty consuming the food. Picky eater influenced by upbringing, feeding behavior of parents, the mother and child interaction, exclusive breastfeeding, solids, and psychological and physical condition of the child. Picky eater can cause children micro-and macronutrient deficiencies that ultimately interfere with the physical and psychological growth. The aim of research to determine the relationship of parenting parents against the picky eater in children aged 3-6 years The study design cross sectional observational analytic types. Population mothers of children aged 3-6 years in Dusun Sumberaji Desa Karangjeruk Kecamatan Jatirejo Kabupaten Mojokerto. Sample 41 respondents drawn using sampling techniques Non-Probability sampling, kind of total sampling. Retrieval of data held on December 18 th 2017-January 05 th 2018, the research instruments using a questionnaire with interview techniques. Data analysis used Fisher exact test, α = 0.05. The results showed that the average of respondent who had democratic parenting style was as many as 22 respondents (64.7%) with a child who experienced picky eater. Results count the Fisher exact test test obtained exact sig value (2-sided) 0.401 meant that Ho accepted,there is no relationship between parenting style of parenst to theincidentof picky eater in children used 3-6 years. Conclusions democratic parenting style adopted by parents still can not make children become picky eater so it needs to pay attention to the physical condition of the child. Parents are expected to vary the diet so that children are more interested in eating food.
A woman's menstrual cycle is influenced by the Body Mass Index. This is caused by the presence of fat that accumulates in a woman's body which can affect the body temperature levels which will cause irregular menstruation. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the Body Mass Index and the menstrual pattern of female adolescents in Gebangmalang Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency. This type of research uses analytical research. The independent variable is the Body Mass Index, while the dependent variable is the menstrual pattern. The study population was all young women in Gebangmalang Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency as many as 430 people with a sample of 207 people who were taken using simple random sampling. The instrument for calculating BMI used microtoise and weight scales, while for menstrual patterns used an interview sheet. The results showed that of the 93 respondents who had normal BMI experienced normal menstrual patterns as many as 77 people (83%). The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test at the level of significance α = 0.05 indicated that ρ = 0.000, which means that there is a relationship between the Body Mass Index and the menstrual pattern of young women. Young women who have a high Body Mass Index tend to experience menstrual pattern disorders. For this reason, it is recommended that young women pay attention to body weight and BMI so that they do not experience interference with their menstrual patterns.
The number of elderly people is increasing, therefore the government has formulated various health care policies aimed at improving the health status and quality of life of the elderly to achieve a happy and efficient old age in family and community life according to their existence. The purpose of this community service is to increase knowledge about the Elderly Posyandu and to be active in participating in elderly gymnastics. The methods used are lectures, discussions, role play and mentoring. The targets are the elderly in Pagerngumbuk Village, Wonoayu District, Sidoarjo Regency, the implementation of activities from April to June 2018. Data analysis uses frequency distribution. The results obtained, there were 34 participants with the mean pre-test and post-test scores of 87.94. The result is a significant increase in knowledge of 0.000 with a value of t = -16.85, and a 95% CI between -46.81 - -36.72, meaning that the effect is strong because it does not pass 1; giving treatment can increase 3-4x knowledge compared to not given. Meanwhile, for elderly exercise assistance, the number of participants averaged 27 people. The Posyandu Elderly counseling participants were enthusiastic about the material presented. There is an increase in the knowledge of the elderly about the role of the elderly Posyandu and the importance of elderly exercise. Health workers always provide information about the activities of the Elderly Posyandu to cadres, village officials and the community on an ongoing basis.
Breast cancer is an important health problem in both developed and developing countries. The incidence and mortality rates of breast cancer can be suppressed by early detection, namely breast self-examination. The aim of community service is to increase the knowledge of pus about breast and improve the skills to do breast self-examination. The method used is the lecture method, discussion, role play and mentoring, the target is EFA in Tambang Hamlet Karangjeruk Village Jatirejo District, activities in August 2017-January 2018, analysis used frequency distribution. The results were counseling participants 22 with means of pre-test 47.8 and post-test 76.6, The results were significant there was an increase in knowledge 0,000 with a value of t = - 27,840, and 95% CI between - 31.02 - -26.71 means that the effect was strong because it did not cross the number 1 ; treatment can increase 2-3 x knowledge compared to not given. Whereas for BSE assistance, there were 33 EFA participants. Participants in breastfeeding counseling and detection with breast self-examination were enthusiastic and active in the material presented and in the discussion activities with evidence of enrichment, and during the role play activities the participants actively participated in the movements taught by the presenters. An increase in EFA knowledge about breast cancer and detection with breast self-examination. Health workers always provide information about breast cancer and breast self-examination to couples of childbearing age on an ongoing basis.
