We model the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic in China. We use early reported case data to predict the cumulative number of reported cases to a final size. The key features of our model are the timing of implementation of major public policies restricting social movement, the identification and isolation of unreported cases, and the impact of asymptomatic infectious cases.
<p>&#160;</p><p>We use a light use efficiency model (LUE) &#160;to describe gross primary productivity (GPP) from 1982 to 2016 using the GIMMS-3g FPAR record and NASA MERRA-2 reanalysis, and explore how GPP trends and anomalies can be explained using annual changes in temperature and hydrology. The GPP model uses optimum LUE (LUE<sub>opt</sub>) inferred from the global FLUXNET network and extrapolated using solar induced chlorophyll fluorescence observations. We find that increasing trends in GPP at mid to high latitudes over the 35-year study period are due to reduced cold temperature of plant growth constraints. Our results suggest a persistent and increasing negative carbon-climate feedback at mid to high latitudes. We also find an increasing atmospheric vapor pressure deficit trends over the tropics, which represents an emerging positive climate feedback that results in a negative trend in GPP after the early 2000s. We expect that further warming, increasing water constraints, and disturbance events will significantly reduce global ecosystem productivity.</p>
Purpose The modern manufacturing industry has put forward higher requirements for the assembly accuracy of components with the development of the industrial technology. For precision assembly, the traditional assembly process study based on tolerance has had difficulty in meeting these requirements. Hence, the distribution of the form errors must be considered. The registration between the two mating surfaces with form errors determines the parts’ assembly position, and is the basis for the prediction and control of the assembly accuracy. This study aims to provide a new surfaces registration method which takes form errors into consideration. Design/methodology/approach This study presents a new registration approach based on the minimum potential energy. A unique set of contact points on mating surfaces that meet the actual conditions can be obtained and the spatial position of the assembled part is calculated. Findings The experimental results show that the calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental values. Furthermore, the root mean square error is within 2%, which proves the validity and accuracy of the approach. Originality/value This paper provides an effective and new method for precision assembly which takes form errors into consideration. The method can give the optimal solution of the contact points, which is more consistent with the actual assembly situation and provides a basis for predicting assembly accuracy.
This paper mainly analyzes the core contents of IA, which contain Organization System, Navigation System, Labeling System, and Search System. on the basis of former researches, the article puts forward a set of evaluation system with observation principles of second index for B-C e-commerce website IA, and endows different power to indexes with analytic hierarchy process, defines three different levels of IA, which are information dissemination, information-improvement and information exchange. According to those, choosing some sample websites to research on their level of IA, and acquires website IA situation in China. Additionally, it points out the strengths and weaknesses of China's website IA, and gives suggestions to the three different levels of IA.
