Bis(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene) derivatives were used as active layers of organic field-effect transistors and the relationship between the structure and properties was investigated. A compound containing a dihydronaphthothiadiazole unit as a spacer group and the related heterocyclic compounds exhibited clear p-type transistor performances.
N,N′‐Diacetyl‐N,N′‐divinylmethylenediamine (1) was prepared by the reaction of N‐vinylacetamide with dibromomethane, and the radical polymerization of 1 was carried out in dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, or N‐methylpyrrolidone at 60 °C for 36 h in the presence of azobisisobutyronitrile (1 mol %) as an initiator to obtain the corresponding polymer (2) in good yields. 2 was composed of the cyclostructure unit selectively. The radical copolymerization of 1 with N‐vinyl pyrrolidone was also carried out in dimethylformamide at 60 °C for 36 h to obtain the corresponding copolymer accompanying the cyclopolymerization.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
