Les études que nous avons effectuées en 2012 et 2013 sur le prospect aurifère de Bonikro et dans la ville de Hiré ont permis de faire l'évaluation quantitative et qualitative de la pollution métallique. Les résultats de cette étude ont fait l'objet de plusieurs publications scientifiques (Yapi et al., 2014a; Yapi et al., 2014b). Cependant, l'aspect risque encouru par la population n'a pas été abordé. Aussi, cette présente étude porte essentiellement sur l'Evaluation Quantitative des Risques Sanitaires (EQRS). L'EQRS est maintenant de plus en plus utilisée pour répondre aux interrogations spécifiques et précises de populations vivant, à une échelle locale, des situations environnementales dégradées (InVS/afsset, 2005). Cette étude se traduit par le calcul des Quotients de Dangers (QD) pour les effets à seuil, l'Excès de Risque Individuel (ERI) pour les effets sans seuil et le calcul de l'Impact Sanitaire (IS) pour déterminer le nombre de cas de cancers cutanés susceptibles de se produire au sein de la population.
