O presente artigo analisa a trajetória recente de Florianópolis (SC) para se tornar uma cidade criativa. Ao mesmo tempo em que se eleva o status de metrópole regional, a alcunha de “ilha da magia” vai se desvinculando da sua identidade original e volta-se à exploração da diversão e de prazeres. A partir da sua aprovação na Rede de Cidades Criativas da UNESCO (UCCN em inglês), a cidade se projeta como um destino gastronômico e o slogan “Floripa – cidade criativa” emerge no sentido de reforçar a modalidade turística voltada ao turismo de negócios e eventos. Uma série de estratégias de reposicionamento territorial foi analisada como: a) instalação de incubadoras e startups de economia criativa; b) vídeos institucionais buscando promover a cidade para outros países do MERCOSUL; c) incentivo a artistas locais na realização de grafismos em murais artísticos. Como reflexão, alguns indicadores apontam para grandes desafios quanto aos Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) e a delineada gentrificação no centro histórico. Como conclusões, analisa-se a mudança de posicionamento voltado a busca por outro perfil de turista que não nega a “ilha da magia”, mas busca agregar atributos urbanos e cosmopolitas à cidade diante de um cenário competitivo entre destinos turísticos.
Introdução/Objetivo: O objetivo do presente artigo é analisar a distribuição dos Programas de Pós-graduação (PPGs) stricto sensu na Região Sul no século XXI. Os PPGs representam parte significativa da pesquisa aplicada e básica dentro das Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) realizada no Brasil e que vem se interiorizando a partir de políticas públicas de educação superior. Metodologia: Foram utilizados dados secundários a partir da base disponível no Sistema de Informações Georreferenciadas da Capes (Geocapes) para os anos de 1998 e 2018. A expansão de PPGs expõe diferenças entre os três estados em termos de capital e interior, público e privado, áreas do conhecimento e conceitos dos cursos. As universidades particulares contribuem com a expansão de PPGs em vazios deixados pela oferta pública no interior de Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul e na capital do Estado do Paraná. Resultados: A reestruturação recente de institutos e universidades federais tem produzido efeitos na pós-graduação como uma dispersão de PPGs no interior e a concentração de excelência em pesquisa em IES consolidadas. PPGs nas áreas multidisciplinares e mestrados profissionais constituem as áreas do conhecimento e graus acadêmicos que mais cresceram no período sendo ainda restrita sua condição de excelência. Conclusão: Como considerações finais é apresentada a tendência de crescimento de PPGs em ciências da vida, exatas e tecnológicas em novos campi, novas universidades e institutos federais criados a partir de 2000 em municípios do interior.
O presente artigo analisa a experiência do ateliê integrado nas disciplinas de Planejamento Urbano e Projeto Arquitetônico voltado à Habitação de Interesse Social (HIS). A interface entre essas disciplinas se deu em um contexto de promoção e uso dos vazios centrais à luz do Estatuto da Cidade de 2015 a 2018 em um curso noturno de graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo na Faculdade Empresarial de Chapecó (UCEFF), em Chapecó (SC). O artigo discute o processo de ensino-aprendizagem em pequenas e médias cidades brasileiras com a inserção de inovação pedagógica, como as plataformas Google e o Jogo do Estatuto da Cidade, e sua relação com métodos tradicionais como o trabalho em ateliê com assessoramento por maquetes de estudo, saídas de campo e seminários de estudos de caso. Apresenta-se um roteiro para ser utilizado em análise de estudos de caso e elaboração de Projetos de Conjuntos Habitacionais de HIS.
