En el presente estudio se evaluó el comportamiento productivo, los cambios bioquímicos, hematológicos y salud intestinal de codornices (Coturnix coturnix japónica), se determinó sus efectos en la producción de huevos, peso de huevo, conversión alimenticia, histología de la porción duodeno del intestino delgado, niveles sanguíneos hematológicos y bioquímicos. Se utilizaron 320 codornices repartidas en cuatro tratamientos (0, 125, 250, 375 g de probiótico Avi-bac) con cuatro repeticiones de 20 aves. El experimento duró 30 días. Se usó un diseño de bloques completamente al azar y los promedios se analizaron mediante la prueba de Tukey. Los resultados de las variables productivas no mostraron diferencias significativas (p>0.05), al igual que las vellosidades intestinales de la porción duodeno, de la hematología y bioquímica sanguínea.
