Neste artigo debatemos as possibilidades, alcances e limites dos recursos audiovisuais enquanto metodologia de pesquisa etnográfica com crianças. Para tanto, apresentamos o processo de realização de atividades de captura imagética com as crianças da aldeia de Aiha, do povo Kalapalo, falantes de uma língua karib do sistema regional do Alto Xingu, no estado brasileiro do Mato Grosso, e que resultaram na composição do filme etnográfico “Osiba Kangamuke- Vamos lá, criançada!” (2016). Em seguida, analisamos as relações das crianças com a câmera, discutindo a ação de ambas na realização de um filme que pretende apresentar de maneira audiovisual quem são as crianças Kalapalo. Partimos, para tanto, das suas escolhas imagética, assim como da discussão do fenômeno estético e político do fazer-se ver ao outro.
