This paper analyzes complaints produced in the institutional context of legal family mediation. Our purpose is to analyze the linguistic-interactional properties of the sequences through which an ex-couple constructs their complaints, entitled here as Grouped Complaints, in the course of meetings. Based on the studies of Ethnomethodological Conversation Analysis (SACKS; SCHEGLOFF; JEFFERSON, 1974), we observed that during the mediation sessions, a long turn talk comes accompanied by more than one complaint. The results point out that: (i) a turn presents two or more complaints; (ii) the grouped complaints are produced in long turns, and may come accompanied by a story or evaluation; (iii) more than one complaint presents the same complainable; and (iv) mediator, at some moments, affiliate herself with these complaints and, at others, disaffiliate with them, thus breaking the expectations of the complainant.
