This study aims to analyze the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models in learning in schools. This form of research is literature studies. The method used is descriptive qualitative to analyze the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Data collection techniques use documentation, by searching journals relevant to Problem Based Learning (PBL) through Sinta and Google Scholar (Google Scholar) with the research journal period of 2015-2020. The keyword used for journal search is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The journals obtained as many as 231 journals were then selected 41 journals that met the criteria for further analysis. Based on the results of analysis from 41 journals that obtained information; 1) Problem Based Learning (PBL) model found in the field of science that is often applied in schools with a percentage of 77% and in the field of mathematics studies with a percentage of 31%; 2) the application of pbl model has a positive effect on learners, (3) the impact of Problem Based Learning model in learning can increase interest in learning, problem solving ability, learning motivation, critical thinking, and learner learning outcomes. In conclusion, problem based learning models based on literature review results have a positive impact in improving students' learning abilities and interests. Conversion of lowland tropical rainforests to intensely fertilized agricultural land-use systems such as oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) plantations leads to changes in nitrogen (N) cycling. Although soil microbial-driven N dynamics has been largely studied, the role of the plant as a major component in N uptake has rarely been considered. We address this gap by comparing the root N contents and uptake in lowland rainforests with that in oil palm plantations on Sumatra, Indonesia. To this aim, we applied 15 N-labeled ammonium to intact soil, measured the 15 N recovery in soil and roots, and calculated the root relative N uptake efficiency for 10 days after label application. We found that root N contents were by one third higher in the rainforest than oil palm plantations. However, 15 N uptake efficiency was similar in the two systems. This finding suggests that lower N contents in oil palm roots were likely caused by plant internal utilization of the absorbed N (e.g., N export to fruit bunches) than by lower ability to take up N from the soil. 15 N recovery in roots was primarily driven by the amount of root biomass, which was higher in oil palm plantation than rainforest. The oil palms unveiled a high capacity to acquire N, offering the possibility of enhancing sustainable plantation management by reducing N fertilizer application.
The aim of this research is to develop the electronic learning media on the subject matter Plant Physiology based 3D pageflip. The 3 D Pageflip is the software that can display the learning material, like: power point, text, pictures, photos, animation, student’s worksheet and videos are integrated in one packaging. This research was designed in ADDIE’s model which have five steps, namely: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. This media was validated by design expert and content expert. The qualitative data from expert suggession used to revise this media, while the qualitative data got from the student’s response to this media. This media was validated by design expert twice and got the last score about 44 (91.67%) with very good criteria. Then, the media also validated by content expert and obtanied the score about 36 (80%) with very good criteria. After validated, the electronic learning media trial to the biology student for the small group test with 9 students as a repondent and obtained the score about 48.87 with very good criteria, while the big group trial test with 15 student as a respondent, got the score about 49.87 with very good criteria. In conclussion, this electronic learning media on subject matter Photosynthesis for Plant Physiology course is very good to use in classroom and also individually. Keywords: electronic media, 3D pageflip, photosynthesis, plant physiology Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran elektronik berbasis 3D Pageflip pada materi fotosintesis mata kuliah Fisiologi Tumbuhan. 3D pageflip ini merupakan software yang dapat menyajikan perangkat pembelajaran seperti: PPT, teks, gambar, foto, LKPD, lagu, animasi, dan video yang terintegrasi dalam satu paket. Media ini dirancang dengan model ADDIE yang memiliki 5 tahapan, yaitu: Analisis, Desain, Develop, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Media elektronik ini divalidasi oleh ahli desain media dan ahli. Data kualitatif berupa saran diperoleh dari ahli desain dan ahli materi digunakan untuk merevisi media. Setelah media dinyatakan layak maka dilanjutkan dengan uji kelompok kecil dan besar untuk melihat repons mahasiswa biologi. Validasi desain media elektrnoik berbasis 3D pageflip dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali dan diperoleh skor akhir sebesar 44 (91.67%) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Kemudian media divalidasi oleh ahli materi juga sebanyak 2 kali dan diperoleh skor akhir sebesar 36 (80%) dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil ujicoba kelompok kecil dengan 9 orang mahasiswa pendidikan biologi sebagai responden dan diperoleh skor sebesar 48.87 dengan kriteria sangat baik/sangat setuju. Selanjutnya hasil ujicoba kelompok besar dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak 15 orang diperoleh skor sebesar 49.87 dengan kriteria juga sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran elektronik berbasis 3D pageflip pada materi fotosintesis mata kuliah Fisiologi Tumbuhan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas maupun secara individu. One of the teacher's efforts for students to play an active role in learning is to choose media that can practice the skills of conducting experiments, improve critical thinking skills so that students can develop the concept of science. This research is a development research with ADDIE development model. LKPD products are tested before being validated by media experts and material experts. The results of media validation obtained a percentage value of 98.75% with a very good category, and material validation obtained a percentage value of 90.00% with a very good category. The results of small group trials and large group trials were 93.05% and 86.25%, respectively, both included in the excellent category. Furthermore, for the perception of teachers obtained a percentage value of 97.72% with a very good category. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the inquiry-based LKPD was guided on the subject of the classification of living thing for Seventh grade of Yunior High School suitable for use in learning. Abstrak Salah satu upaya guru agar peserta didik berperan aktif dalam pembelajaran adalah dengan memilih media yang dapat melatih keterampilan melakukan eksperimen, meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis sehingga peserta didik dapat mengembangkan konsep IPA. Salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan media LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada pokok bahasan klasifikasi mahluk hidup, juga untuk mengetahui persepsi peserta didik dan guru terhadap LKPD yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Produk LKPD sebelum diujicobakan terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil validasi media diperoleh nilai persentase 98,75% dengan katagori sangat baik,dan validasi materi diperoleh nilai persentase 90,00% dengan katagori sangat baik. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar secara berurutan adalah 93,05% dan 86,25%, keduanya termasuk dalam katagori sangat baik. Selanjutnya untuk persepsi guru diperolah nilai persentase 97,72% dengan katagori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada pokok bahasan klasifikasi mahluk hidup untuk kelas VII SMP layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
From the search of several research articles on science process skills of junior high school students, it is seen that the average results of the pretest scores. The average science process skills value of students from 2015 to 2020 is still low, which is around 41.07%. This research was conducted to see the effectiveness of the application of the guided inquiry learning model on students' science process skills in science subjects in junior high school. The method used for the study of literature is the analysis of several sources in the form of national research journals relating to the application of the guided inquiry learning model for science learning in junior high schools. Data analysis using the Miles & Huberman model, through the following stages; Record all the findings of the guided inquiry aspect and the results of the science process skills, Review the records of the documentation results, describe the classified data and make a final analysis in the form of a research report. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) The guided inquiry learning model is effective in increasing the science process skills in science subjects in junior high schools in the medium category; 2) Materials about vibrations and waves are more effectively used with guided inquiry learning models than other materials to improve science process skills for junior high school students; 3) The guided inquiry learning model is effective, especially if it is used to improve the science process skills of junior high school students in the aspect of observing/ observing. Abstrak. Dari penelusuran beberapa artikel penelitian tentang Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa SMP, terlihat hasil rata-rata nilai pretest. Nilai rata-rata KPS siswa Tahun 2015 sampai dengan Tahun 2020 masih rendah yaitu sekitar 41,07%. Penelitian ini dilakukan ntuk melihat efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap KPS siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA SMP. Metode yang digunakan untuk studi literatur yaitu analisis beberapa sumber berupa jurnal-jurnal penelitian nasional yang berkenaan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk pembelajaran IPA di SMP. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman, melalui tahapan-tahapan sebagai berikut; Mencatat semua temuan aspek inkuiri terbimbing dan hasil KPS, Menelaah kembali catatan hasil dokumentasi, Mendeskripsikan data yang telah diklasifikasikan dan Membuat analisis akhir dalam bentuk laporan hasil penelitian. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS pada mata pelajaran IPA di SMP dengan kategori sedang; 2) Materi tentang getaran dan gelombang lebih efektif digunakan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing daripada materi lainnya untuk meningkatkan KPS siswa SMP; 3) Model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif terutama jika digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP pada aspek mengamati/ melakukan observasi.
