A systematic solution to the numerous environmental, social and economic problems of the development of agritourism cluster is not achievable without appropriate economic and mathematical models and tools for their support, which would make it possible to accurately predict the main indicators of the sustainable development of agritourism, identify the main factors of sustainable development, determine the degree of the effectiveness of certain management decisions. The purpose is to develop a structural model for sustainable development of agritourism, which makes it possible to predict the level of development of the tourism cluster and assess the impact of various management decisions impact on economic, environmental and social sustainability agrarian region. The article uses the method of modeling relationships between latent PLSPM variables as an analysis method, and the PLS analysis is intended for analyzing high-dimensional data in a poorly structured environment. The tool proposed in the article will allow you to determine the characteristics that have the greatest impact on the level of agritourism development. The described PLS analysis can be used to successfully solve the problems of sustainable development of the tourism cluster both at the level of regional government structures and at the level of agritourism business entities. Using modern theoretical and econometrical models authors made out recommendations as to develop agritourism for sustainable development of the tourism cluster on micro-and macrolevel.
In studies devoted to the problem of tourism development in the host regions (destinations), the economic component is always taken into account, sometimes the environmental component, and almost never the sociocultural component is taken into account. However, today the problem of organizing investment in the tourism business, taking into account the environmental and cultural impact, is becoming more and more urgent. It causes a great practical need for conducting research on the investment process in the tourism business and theoretical justification of the choice of areas of investment activity activation in compliance with the criteria of economic efficiency, sociocultural sustainability and environmental safety. In the course of writing the article, the authors set a goal to demonstrate the possibilities of taking into account cultural factors in the process of modeling the socioeconomic sustainability of regional tourist clusters based on qualitative methods. Qualitative methods were chosen as the methodological basis for modeling, which allow us to systematize and formalize the main patterns of development and identify the vector of the most effective use of available resources. The formation of models describing the economic, environmental and sociocultural sustainability of the destination, which allow identifying key factors of sustainable development, can help ensure a long-term positive effect from the development of tourism in the region. The results of this study have theoretical and practical significance. They can be used as a basis for further scientific research and can also be used in the practical activities of tourism business entities, as well as state and local authorities and other stakeholders in the process of analytical justification of investment activities implemented on the basis of the principles of sustainable development.
The modern tourism market is characterized by an increased struggle of tour operators for consumers and meeting their needs. Today a condition for the successful functioning of travel companies is the increasing differentiation of supply and the expansion of the range of package tours and services. However, any solutions should be preceded by their theoretical development. During the course of article writing, the authors set themselves as a goal is an analytical understanding of the methodology for managing the differentiation of package tours and services in order to solve the problem of ensuring high consumer value based on their differentiation by consumer characteristics, regardless of the type of services package and the purpose of travel. The article substantiates the feasibility of managing the differentiation of package tours as a source of increasing their consumer value in the dynamics of consumer expectations, and also presents a new author’s methodology for studying the process of differentiation of package tours. The results of study are of theoretical and practical significance. They can be used as a basis for further scientific research, and they can also be used in the practical activities of tour operators to differentiate their offer in the market and thereby increase their competitiveness and increase profits.
Goal – construction of models that describe the social, environmental, and economic sustainability of rural areas in the context of the development of agritourism, which would make it possible to determine the leading factors for their sustainable development. Research methodology – the research applied the procedures of goal setting, measurement, establishing criteria, forming and choosing alternatives, algorithms, methods of PLS‑PM modeling, and methods of qualitative modeling. Score/results – a systematic solution to the numerous environmental, social, and economic problems of the development of agritourism cluster is not achievable without appropriate economic and mathematical models and tools for their support, which would make it possible to accurately predict the main indicators of the sustainable development of agritourism, identify the main factors of sustainable development, determine the degree of the effectiveness of certain management decisions. Originality/value – based on the applied software products developed in this way, support systems for making complex management decisions can be formed that make it possible to identify all potential scenarios for the development of any complex systems and transitions between them, as well as provide a predictive function for evaluating key blocks. In the future, the proposed toolkit can be used to model and optimize the sustainable development of specific tourism investment projects in rural regions, as well as to select investment areas at the regional agritourism cluster level.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
