The subject of the study is a comparative analysis of the level of sustainable development of the European Union. The basis of the study was the data collected in the Eurostat database, which the European Commission uses to monitor the implementation of the objectives of EU Sustainable Development Strategy. In order to determine similarities and differences in the level of development of EU countries in the study area, a method of multidimensional scaling was used. The obtained results allowed to identify similar as well as different countries because of their designated sizes. There were also identified countries whose sustainability is the closest to the object of reference and those whose previous development is similar to antipattern. In the calculations the environment and packages of R program were used.
Two groups of research methods are used in the decompositional approach to stated preferences-conjoint analysis methods and discrete choice methods. The most commonly applied traditional conjoint analysis method is an example of the first group. Because of its computational complexity, its practical application requires using appropriate commercial or non-commercial computer software. The purpose of the article is to present the traditional conjoint analysis method and discuss its implementation in the form of the conjoint package for R program, which with CRAN packages is currently one of the most important non-commercial computing environments for statistical data analysis. In addition to the detailed characteristics of the individual conjoint R package functions, the paper also presents the application of the conjoint package in marketing research, along with the interpretation of the selected results, based on the example of measuring and analysing stated preferences of beer consumers.
W ocenie m.in. rodzaju, układu oraz poprawności uzyskiwanych wyni ków w analizie wykorzystano internetowy przykład problemu decyzyjnego.Słowa kluczowe: Analytic Hierarchy Proces (AHP), pakiety ahp i AHPmethod, program R.Summary: Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the methods which is used in the analysis of complex decision-making problems where there are more than one decision criterion. The method has been programmed in many commercial and non-commercial software programs. Ahp and AHPmethod packages are examples of implementation of AHP method in non-commercial R program. The paper presents the comparision of both R packages indicating the advantages and disadvantages of each solution. The packages' evaluation includes the type, layout and compatibility of calculation results. The paper presents Tom-Dick-Harry decision-making problem from the Internet.
Celem artykułu jest prezentacja autorskiego pakietu AHPmethod dla programu R. W artykule, oprócz funkcji pakietu AHPmethod, zaprezentowano zastosowanie pakietu w badaniach marketingowych na przykładzie pomiaru preferencji nabywców telefonów komórkowych.Słowa kluczowe: Analytic Hierarchy Proces (AHP), pakiet AHPmethod, program R.Summary: Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the methods used in the analysis of complex decision-making problems where there are more than one decision criterion. Due to the nature of the decompositional approach, AHP enables the fragmentation of the complex decision problem and the creation of final ranking. This means a potential opportunity to use AHP method to measure the consumers' preferences. The main aim of the article is to present the author's AHPmethod package for R program. The paper presents functions of the package and the use of the AHPmethod package in marketing research on the example of the measurement and analysis of consumer preferences.
