ma. Within meningioma LH-RH, progesterone and estrogen receptors were verified. Therefore, causality between treatment and progression cannot be excluded in this case. The combination of prostate carcinoma and meningioma is rare. Nevertheless, it is important to be aware of meningioma during hormone therapy, since therapy can influence growth of meningioma positively. Trefwoorden prostaatcarcinoom · meningeoom · hormoontherapie · LHRH-agonist · contra-indicatie Progression of meningioma during hormone therapy for prostate carcinoma Abstract A 62 year old man with a meningioma in situ is treated with a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RH)-agonist for local prostate carcinoma. During this treatment his meningioma showed progressive growth. There is a strong presumption that hormones possibly play an important role in development and growth of meningiodrs. T.A.
