O presente estudo tem como objetivo verificar a eficácia de um conjunto de práticas terapêuticas e fisioterapia para a diminuição dos níveis de dor e recuperação de alcance da mobilidade da mandíbula, a partir do tratamento de um paciente com quadro crônico de DTM moderada associado ao Bruxismo. A intervenção fisioterapêutica constituiu na associação de técnicas de terapia manual, eletroterapia e cinesioterapia, ainda foram empregadas orientações educacionais para adequação postural e redução de hábitos parafuncionais. Os níveis de dor foram aferidos por meio da Escala Visual Analógica. A manutenção dos resultados foi verificada 15, 30 e 60 dias após o término do tratamento. As técnicas empregadas promoveram significativo aumento da mobilidade articular da mandíbula (1,13cm) e redução da sensação dolorosa indicada pela paciente. Porém, após 60 dias houve redução de, aproximadamente, 103% na amplitude de abertura da boca e oscilação nos níveis de dor. A aplicação de múltiplas técnicas para o tratamento de doenças articulares crônicas e/ou associadas, como o Bruxismo e a DTM, favorece a obtenção de bons resultados, no entanto, para a manutenção dos resultados, sugere-se a não interrupção abrupta do tratamento, havendo a necessidade de sessões fisioterapêuticas em intervalos não superiores a 15 dias.
RESUMO Introdução O presente estudo tem como objetivo educar trabalhadores e acadêmicos da Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões-Extensão São Luiz Gonzaga sobre os prejuízos oriundos do tabagismo e os benefícios do exercício físico para se evitar e ou parar com o hábito de fumar. Materiais e métodos trata-se de um ensaio clinico não controlado onde foram aplicadas avaliações pré e pós-intervenção em indivíduos maiores de idade, ambos os sexos e que estava com vínculo empregatício ou matriculados como acadêmicos todos os cursos de graduação na Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai-Câmpus de São Luiz Gonzaga do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Foram avaliadas a capacidade funcional através do teste do degrau de seis minutos,e a qualidade de vida através do questionário de qualidade de vida Medical Outcomes Study 36-Item Short Form
A massagem modeladora é atualmente utilizada em tratamentos estéticos e demonstra um resultado razoável durante as sessões realizadas na área da fisioterapia, principalmente a dermatofuncional, quando utiliza as terapias manuais com o propósito de facilitar a remodelação da circunferência da cintura abdominal, pode proporcionar a melhora da aparência física e da saúde. Realizar uma revisão sistemática de literatura sobre a massagem modeladora na remodelagem da circunferência abdominal em mulheres. Os estudos foram selecionados a partir das seguintes bases de dados eletrônicos: PubMed, CAPES, ERIC, Embase e SciELO. A pesquisa foi realizada em novembro de 2019 com restrições de data da publicação dos últimos dez anos (2009-2019) e também com restrições quanto ao idioma: somente os estudos em português, inglês foram elegíveis. Foi realizada uma análise detalhada dos artigos, restando 7 estudos incluídos que preenchiam todos os critérios de inclusão de elegibilidade previamente estabelecidos, que obtiveram redução de medidas na região do abdômen. De acordo com os resultados obtidos neste estudo, pode-se afirmar de que a terapia manual da massagem modeladora é eficaz no tratamento da gordura localizada. Portanto, sugere-se a realização de novas pesquisas sobre essa temática e que seja de forma mais isolada, com maior número de amostras e maior tempo de tratamento para a validação do estudo.
As pessoas com deficiências enfrentam dificuldades diárias e as tecnologias assistivas estão surgindo com a intenção de proporcionar melhora nas condições de vida diária desses sujeitos, cabe saber se oferecem realmente o que as pessoas com deficiência precisam no seu dia a dia. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada através do PubMed (MEDLINE), Scielo, Google Scholar, no idioma português e inglês, sem limite estipulado para ano de publicação. O dia-a-dia com os filhos, com a família, seus interesses pessoais, as atividades profissionais, ou seja, um somatório de atribuições realizadas, na maioria das situações, de maneira isolada, sem compartilhar, o que contribui para sua rotina sobrecarregada (SPINDOLA e SANTOS, 2011). Por esses motivos, é valido às mães priorizarem uma hora do seu dia para um momento só, um momento delas, uma hora de relaxamento, em consequência, a qualidade de vida (QV) irá melhorar. O presente estudo teve como objetivo verificar qual a técnica manual mais eficaz, entre a massoterapia convencional (MC) e a drenagem linfática manual (DLM) para a melhora da qualidade de vida das mães da comunidade de São Luiz Gonzaga. Trata-se de um ensaio clínico randomizado, no qual a amostra foi composta por 20 mães, entre 22 e 55 anos, divididas em dois grupos: 10 receberam a MC e 10 receberam a DLM, submetidas a 4 sessões uma vez por semana. Como forma de avaliação da QV foi aplicado o questionário WHOQOL-bref. Os resultados do estudo mostraram que houve melhora na QV das mães pesquisadas com a intervenção das duas técnicas, porém, a técnica que obteve diferença estatisticamente significante foi a MC (p= 0,02), concluindo que a técnica manual mais eficaz para a melhora da QV das mães estudadas, foi à MC.
