-The aim of this article is to present a case of neglected ameloblastoma due to socio-economic status problem. Ameloblastoma is a benign odontogenic tumor though locally aggressive that usually occurs in the mandible. Its insidious development makes the diagnosis more or less late. Negligence plays an important part in the management of this pathology. It leads to a big tumor whose treatment will be more disabling without more expensive reconstructive surgery.
Résumé
Kaposi’s sarcoma is a common cancer associated with HIV infection. Since
the COVID-19 pandemic, the prevalence of this pathology has increased.
We report a case of a 33-year-old patient who presented with Kaposi’s
sarcoma associated with Covid-19 and HIV coinfection. It promotes the
progression of cancers and increases mortality.
Discussion.
Abstract -Avulsion of permanent teeth: incidence, relocation and containment by Dautrey arc. Introduction.Dental trauma is one of oro-facial trauma that constitue 5% of injuries in general. This is one of maxillofacial emergencies when there is a dislocation of a permanent tooth. Patients and method. This is a prospective study of 47 patients who had an avulsed tooth relocated and contained by a Dautrey arc. The main objective of this study is to investigate the traumatic dislocation of permanent teeth and the specific objective is to show the frequency, the principle of replantation and containment by Dautrey arc. Results. This traumatic disease affects particularly children from 7 to 12 years old, male, but spares either adults. The majority of the affected teeth are the maxillary central incisors because of their position on facial skeleton. After treatment, almost all patients had a positive immobility test and more than half have positive vitality test. Immobility may be the result of a regeneration of the periodontal space, but it may also reflect a dentoalveolarankylosis where the tooth is no longer alive. Discussion. This study allows us to deduce that this type of treatment is effective in saving a permanent tooth replantation.
Mandibular osteosarcomas are relatively rare compared to those occurring
in the long bones. We report a case of giant mandibular osteosarcoma in
a 52-year-old woman that we realized a complete resection. An early
diagnosis and a complete resection of the lesion are necessary for a
better prognosis.
