This study examines the impact of agro tourism development on increasing the value added of agricultural products, and the impact of agro tourism development on farmers income level. The study was conducted using survey interviews with farmers and related parties and field observation. The development of agro tourism encourages the community to process agricultural products, improve on farm and non- farm management. The results showed that processing of agricultural products, farm management and non-farm management activities provides significant increase on farmers household income. It is recommended to optimize the processing of agricultural products, farm management and non-farm management activities.
The problems faced in organic rice farming is decreasing quality and fertility of land caused by the use of non-organic fertilizers or pesticides and also by climate change. This study aims to determine the environmental efficiency of semi-organic rice farming. The sampling method was purposively carried out consisting of 115 farmers from four farmer groups in Bantul Regency and had implemented semi-organic rice farming. The technical analysis used was Stochastic Frontier Translog Analysis with one input variable namely N fertilizer which was thought to be an input that could decrease environmental quality (detrimental environment input). The results showed that the coefficient value used to analyze the environmental efficiency from the Stochastic Frontier Analysis Translog is the coefficient value that interacts with N fertilizer. The environmental efficiency of semi-organic rice farming is still very low, ranging from 0.1434 to 0.6541 with an average of 0.40. This efficiency value shows that semi-organic rice production will survive or even increase by reducing 60% from the use of N fertilizer. Environmental efficiency is influenced by the use of factors of production which are detrimental to the environment, climate change (temperature changes) and water resources management.
This study aims to explain the agritourism development model strategy based on local wisdom in Karangtengah Village. The research was conducted by interviewing farmers and related parties and the field observation. The results showed that the development of local-wisdom based agritourism required a proper planning and master plan, optimization of the potential owned, cooperation with various parties (private, government and community), education training on tourism to managers and communities, and overall socialization to the community based on community empowerment. It is recommended to optimize the existing potential in cooperation with various parties from the government, the private sector, and universities.
Keandalan jaringan tenaga listrik merupakan tuntutan masyarakat modern saat ini. Berbagai program peningkatan keandalan terus dilakukan antara lain dengan inspeksi dan pemeliharaan gardu distribusi. Inspeksi dilaksanakan secara periodik untuk mengetahui kondisi peralatan berfungsi dengan baik. Namun demikian masih terdapat gangguan yang disebabkan oleh korona pada kubikel 20 kV. Dampaknya yaitu terhentinya pasokan listrik ke pelanggan dan berpotensi menimbulkan kerusakan kubikel itu sendiri. Penelitian ini terkait dengan perancangan prototipe alat pendeteksi korona sebagai proteksi kubikel keluaran 20 kV. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghasilkan sebuah prototipe alat pendeteksi korona sebagai proteksi kubikel keluaran 20 kV pelanggan tegangan menengah serta mengetahui pengaruh suhu dan kelembapan terhadap jumlah O3 yang dihasilkan, agar dapat diimplementasikan sebagai proteksi kubikel keluaran 20 kV pelanggan tegangan menengah. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi analisa kebutuhan, perencanaan desain, perakitan dan pengujian sistem. Prototipe alat berfungsi untuk mengukur konsentrasi ozon (O3), suhu dan kelembapan pada kubikel. Parameter uji meliputi pengaruh kelembapan dan besar tegangan terhadap pembentukan konsentrasi O3. Uji pengaruh kelembapan menghasilkan tingkat kelembapan 99% RH jumlah O3 sebesar 241,0 ppb, kelembapan 95% RH jumlah O3 sebesar 106,2 ppb dan 90% RH jumlah O3 sebesar 78,55 ppb. Uji pengaruh tegangan menghasilkan nilai tegangan 14 V jumlah O3 sebesar 225,36 ppb dan tegangan 12 V jumlah O3 sebesar 106,63 ppb. Prototipe alat pendeteksi korona dapat diimplementasikan sebagai proteksi kubikel keluaran 20 kV pelanggan tegangan menengah.
The farmer card is one of the government’s initiatives aiming to realize the distribution of subsidized fertilizers under the six appropriate principles (quantity, type, price, quality, time, and place) and provide farmers with banking services. This study seeks to determine the attitudes of farmers toward the farmer card program and the relationship between the factors forming the attitudes. Survey interviews with farmers and related parties and field observations were utilized to obtain research data. The findings revealed that the attitudes of farmers toward the farmer card program fell into the category of “poor”. Age, formal education, land area, farming experience, Field Agricultural Extension (PPL) workers’ role, and mass media exposure were attitude-framing factors. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient was employed to analyze the data, uncovering that formal education, farming experience, and the involvement of extension workers significantly affected the attitudes of farmers toward the farmer card program, except for farming experience, which had the opposite direction. Moreover, neither age, land area, nor mass media exposure significantly impacted the attitudes of farmers toward the program.
