En este trabajo presentamos cómo se ha ido recuperando la información de las excavaciones antiguas en el Tossal de la Cala e interpretado a la luz de los datos obtenidos en nuestras excavaciones (2013-2020), realizadas mediante convenio de colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Benidorm. El final del proceso ha sido, primero, la recuperación de un yacimiento que se creía arrasado y, seguidamente, la caracterización fundamentada de un tipo de fortificación tardo-republicana de pequeña extensión inédito en la Hispania de la conquista.
L'exposició Romans contra romans. Sertori i les guerres civils al sud-est d'Hispània, així com l'excel·lent catàleg que l'acompanya, és una molt bona notícia amb tres implicacions importants per a nosaltres.En primer lloc perquè posa de rellevància alguns dels fons més valuosos que atresora el Museu de Xàbia i ens ajuda a donar a aquest espai la importància que mereix en la vida cultural i social de Xàbia i de la Marina Alta. D'altra banda, l'exposició Romans contra romans també es refereix a elements integrats en el nostre paisatge, en la nostra muntanya, que han romàs com a testimonis de la història i que ens ajuden a desxifrar el diàleg amb l'entorn. Aquesta és una magnífica ocasió per mirar d'una altra manera, amb uns altres ulls, allò que ens envolta i entendre que formem part d'una continuïtat cultural i humana que ens exigeix respecte i cura.Finalment, Romans contra romans forma part de la nostra reivindicació de pertinença al món llatí i els seus avatars. No és poca cosa tenir un port de partida i un origen sòlid per seguir desenvolupant el nostre projecte de societat.Vull també felicitar la professora de la Universitat d'Alacant Feliciana Sala i al seu equip per l'excel·lent treball realitzat i per acostar-nos així un fragment tan interessant de la nostra pròpia història.La exposición Romans contra romans. Sertori i les guerres civils en el sud-est d'Hispània, así como el excelente catálogo que la acompaña, es una muy buena noticia con tres implicaciones importantes para nosotros.En primer lugar porque pone de relevancia algunos de los fondos más valiosos que atesora el Museu de Xàbia y nos ayuda a dar a este espacio la importancia que merece en la vida cultural y social de Xàbia y de la Marina Alta. Por otro lado, la exposición Romans contra romans también se refiere a elementos integrados en nuestro paisaje, en nuestra montaña, que han permanecido como testigos de la historia y que nos ayudan a descifrar el diálogo con el entorno. Esta es una magnífica ocasión para mirar de otro modo, con otros ojos, aquello que nos rodea y entender que formamos parte de una continuidad cultural y humana que nos exige respeto y cuidado.Por último, Romans contra romans forma parte de nuestra reivindicación de pertenencia al mundo latino y sus avatares. No es poca cosa tener un puerto de partida y un origen sólido para seguir desarrollando nuestro proyecto de sociedad.Quiero también felicitar a la profesora de la Universidad de Alicante Feliciana Sala y a su equipo por el excelente trabajo realizado y por acercarnos así un fragmento tan interesante de nuestra propia historia.
