Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación han cambiado la vida de las personas e impulsado el crecimiento económico, pero su obsolescencia de tipo programada, psicológica, funcional, estética, indirecta y ecológica, hace que los usuarios desechen estos aparatos tecnológicos sin medir las consecuencias ambientales y de salud que implican estos. Estudios realizados en Europa señalan que en promedio los aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos están compuestos en un 25% de elementos reutilizables, un 72% de materiales reciclables y el 3% de elementos potencialmente tóxicos como el plomo, mercurio, y otros. Ecuador desde el 2012, mediante acuerdo ministerial número 190, expidió la política nacional de posconsumo de equipos eléctricos y electrónicos.
Usando el modelo VAK, se identificó los estilos de aprendizaje de los estudiantes que cursaron la asignatura de estadística en la UNIANDES sede Santo Domingo, para determinar la eventual relación sobre el rendimiento académico y la elección de una carrera en particular. Los grupos muestrales fueron estudiantes de la carrera de Administración, Contabilidad y Software, dando una muestra final n = 83. La prueba Chi-cuadrado, no detectó relación entre (p > 0.05) entre: estilo vs rendimiento y estilo vs carreras. Tampoco el ANOVA encontró diferencias significativas (p > 0.05) entre las calificaciones medias de los grupos. De forma global los estudiantes llegan a estar próximos alcanzar el aprendizaje. Otros factores estarían afectando la posible relación entre las variables estudiadas.
El conocimiento y dominio del método científico y de la metodología de la investigación que tiene el docente-tutor se refleja en los trabajos de titulación. Desde el análisis de los elementos significativos en el diseño metodológico, se procedió a revisar los trabajos de titulación que yacen en los repositorios de las tres universidades de la ciudad de Santo Domingo, que forman profesionales en Administración de Empresas, y Contabilidad y Auditoría. Algunos errores son significativos, lo que pone de manifiesto que el docente-tutor tiene la urgente necesidad de reforzar sus conocimientos en investigación.
Objetivo: Identificar y dar a conocer los alimentos con alto potencial cariogénico para reducir el índice de caries y orientar una alimentación saludable en las loncheras de niños de inicial de 3 a 5 años de ambos sexos de la Institución “John Dalton” y su influencia en la salud oral. Método: Se realizo una investigación de tipo descriptiva, explicativa-observacional de corte transversal, la muestra estuvo constituida por 50 niños que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Resultados y conclusiones: Para evaluar el potencial cariogénico de los alimentos se utilizó una ficha de recolección y una encuesta que evaluó dimensiones, se utilizó la prueba estadística del Chi-cuadrado. El 75% toma solo en cuenta la satisfacción del niño y la economía. Se concluye que las loncheras de los niños contienen alimentos potencialmente cariogénicos y que influirían en la aparición de caries por la relación de una mala higiene oral.
Con el fin de establecer la relación que existe entre el PIB del Ecuador y las importaciones que genera el mismo se ha planteado elaborar un modelo VARMA, donde se plantea la relación de que el PIB ecuatoriano depende de las importaciones que genere el país en un período de tiempo determinado. Por otro lado, para capturar la causalidad de las importaciones hacia el PIB, la demanda de importaciones ampliada debe plantearse como un modelo VAR.
