Introduction: .Mental health nurses is effective on quality of services to patients, and burnout is a common complication in this area. this study was done to investigate and compare of mental health and burnout in Shafa and Heshmat ' s Rasht educationalremedial hospitals in Rasht Methods :This descriptive-analytic study performed on 183 nurses of Shafa and Heshmat hospitals by simple randomly selected. Tool of study was a questionnaire including demographic information, Global Health Questionnair and Maslech Burned Out Inventory two groups were compared with MANOVA test. data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and spss software. Results: Multivariate analysis of Variables indicate that average variable of burnout (F =18.881) and mental health (F =9.940) to Shafa nurses had significant difference (0.001) and scores of emotional exhaustion, decrease of personal accomplishment and involvement components in Shafa nurses was lower than Heshmat nurses, but personal accomplishment in Heshmat nurses had more than Shafa. Multivariate analysis in the area of mental health indicated that the average of variable in two groups was significant (F =9.940). Physical symptoms, anxiety and depression in Shafa nurses was lower than Heshmat nurses, But level of the social function of Heshmat nurses was higher than Shafa nurses. Conclusion: Although burnout and mental health nurses of two centers was low, the issue required to more attention.
Background Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is one of the most valuable imaging techniques in the evaluation of macula. The repeatability and reproducibility of OCT are of crucial importance in reassuring this tool’s efficacy in evaluating the structure of the retina. Objective This study aims to investigate the repeatability and reproducibility of OCT in measuring the macular thickness in normal eyes before and after pupil dilation. Methods A total of 44 eyes of healthy individuals in the age range of 20 to 50 years were employed for the measurement of macular thickness in the central 6 mm using the Cirrus SD-OCT tool. Results According to ICC, the repeatability of macular thickness was 0.95 (95% CI, 0.95 - 0.96). The mean macular thickness before and after pupil dilation was statistically significant in the nasal quadrant of the outer 6 mm ring (N2) and the inferior quadrant of the outer 6 mm ring (I2) (P=0.0001). The highest repeatability before and after pupil dilation was seen in the nasal quadrant of the inner 3 mm ring (N1) and the central ring (C), respectively. Conclusion This study shows that measuring the macular thickness using the Spectral domain cirrus OCT (SD-OCT) has acceptable repeatability and reproducibility. Since the absolute value of the mean difference between the three measurements in the N2 and I2 regions was statistically significant, using a single method (i.e., whether to apply the eye drop) is preferable for follow-ups in cases where the measurements are needed within 3 to 6 mm in center of the macula.
Purpose To investigate the epidemiology of types of ocular trauma in a tertiary center in north of Iran. Methods This cross-sectional study was carried out on 476 patients with ocular trauma referred to emergency eye department of Amir-Almomenin Hospital in 2021. Personal information and types of traumas collected by medical records and a designed questionary. Data were collected and analyzed using IBM SPSS 26. Descriptive statistics were used to determine the frequency and distribution of traumas. Results The most vulnerable groups were 31–40 years (28.8%) and mean age of 41.5 ± 17.4. Most of the injuries occurred at home (57.1%) and few of them used eyewear (5.3%). Patients were mostly lived in city. Closed globe injuries were the prominent types of traumas at about (96%) and Open close injuries were at a low rate (4%).Conclusion Ocular Trauma is a common cause of trauma in north of Iran. Closed globe injuries were the most common types of traumas occurred between the age of 30–40 and male were most commonly susceptible
