Os autores relatam um caso de úveo-meningo-encefalite, com os característicos da síndrome de Harada. A terapêutica instituída à base de corticos-teróides e antibióticos de largo espectro, tripsina, gama-globulina, transfusão de sangue total, vitamina C, mostrou-se parcialmente eficiente. Como persistissem alguns sintomas e alterações no líquido cefalorraqueano, foi empregada piretoterapia, depois da qual foi assinalada pronta melhora e normalização do líquido cefalorraqueano. Os autores admitem que a piretoterapia, além de estimular as reações de defesa do organismo, teria agido como na tindalização de microrganismos sensíveis à intermitência térmica. A enfêrma vem sendo controlada há mais de um ano, não tendo apresentado qualquer manifestação indicadora da persistência ou de reativação do processo.
