The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of an educational program based on images and graphics in developing some spatial and temporal concepts among kindergarten children. The researchers used the semi-experimental approach, and the sample of the study, chosen randomly, consisted of (50) children and distributed among the two study groups (25) groups. Experimental and (25) control groups. The researchers prepared the study tools represented by the educational program and a test that measures temporal and spatial concepts after confirming their validity and stability. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the members of the two groups in favor of the experimental group, and the study recommended including this program in kindergarten curricula.
This study aimed to identify students' attitudes and faculty members at Israa University towards distance learning in light of the Corona pandemic. A questionnaire was developed that included two pictures (student photo/faculty member photo). Each image in the questionnaire consisted of (30) items distributed into three areas: Learning and teaching, assessment and testing, and learning and communication management, where acceptable coefficients of validity and reliability were achieved for the two questionnaire images, and applying them to an available sample of Al-Isra University students and faculty members, consisted of (365) male and female students, and (119) faculty members during the first semester of the academic year (2020-2021 AD). The study results revealed that the attitudes of students and faculty members at Israa University towards distance learning in light of the Corona pandemic came at a medium level. The presence of statistical differences in students' attitudes at Israa University towards distance learning due to the gender variable and the differences were in favor of males. There were no statistically significant differences in Al Isra University students' attitudes towards distance learning due to the vari of college. The variablee results also revealed no statistically significant differences in the faculty members' attitudes at Al-Isra University towards distance learning due to the variable of academic rank. In light of the study results, the researchers recommended developing the values of self-awareness and twenty-first-century skills such as self and continuous learning, and interest in developing distance learning applications and platforms, and conducting future studies on distance learning and the effectiveness of educational platforms and electronic applications in light of various variables.
This study aimed to reveal the reasons for the reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections of the nineteenth parliament for the year 2020 in the Jordanian capital, Amman. A questionnaire was developed for this purpose, which included (30) items distributed over four dimensions, each dimension representing a general reason for the reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections. The acceptable parameters of validity and reliability of the questionnaire were achieved. The questionnaire was applied to an available sample consisting of (1223) individuals who did not participate in the parliamentary elections in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The results of the study revealed that the most common reasons for reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections of the nineteenth parliament for the year 2020 in the Jordanian capital, Amman, were "the reasons related to the candidates," while it came in the fourth and final rank domain: "the reasons related to the Corona pandemic." The results also showed that the most common reason for the reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections related to voters was the fifth reason: "I did not find anyone to represent me in the parliament among the candidates." That the most common reason for the reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections related to the candidates was the ninth reason: "The spread of corruption among members of the parliament in appointments and promotions". The most common reason for the reluctance to participate in the parliamentary elections related to the independent body was the reason (22), which states: "The independent body was unable to control candidates from using political money in the elections," and that the most common reason for refraining from participating in the parliamentary elections related to the Corona pandemic was the reason ( 29) and its text: "People's lack of commitment to health measures such as social distancing and wearing a mask." In light of the results of the current study, the researchers recommend finding effective formulas to ensure broader participation in the parliamentary elections, employing various social media to support and enhance participation in parliamentary elections, and tightening supervision and punishment to prevent the spread of practices related to political money, the existence of real and serious procedures to ensure the integrity of the elections, the development of awareness programs for the citizen on the basis for choosing a representative, the adoption of standards of morality, integrity and hard work of the candidate when voting, and conducting various studies on the issue of the reasons for reluctance to vote in parliamentary elections and their relationship to social, demographic and political variables.
This study investigates the major causes of sexual assault against children and certain demographic variables affecting these factors. A 24-item Questionnaire of four variables has been developed. It includes the family, social and religious, media, psychic and individual factors. The study involved a sample of (100) students, randomly chosen. The study shows that leaving the children with the house-maid is one of the major causes of sexual crimes against children, in addition to the abused use of the internet by the family members in the presence of children, weak religious drive of the youth besides depression cases in the adolescent stage besides attractive attributes in the aggressive person. The total score for the whole questionnaire was fair. There were statistically significance differences attributed to sex and age.
This study aimed to identify the psychological and social effects of divorce on children from their viewpoint, and to achieve the aim of the study A questionnaire was developed consisting of (17) items that were distributed to a sample of (100) children of the divorced, and they were randomly selected. The researchers used the descriptive and analytical method for the study. The study concluded that feeling fear and anxiety about the future and the accumulation of worries and diseases is one of the most psychological effects that children of divorced men are exposed to, and it leads the individual to a feeling of inferiority and lack of self-esteem. While the most social factors affecting the members of the study sample were that divorce leads children to bad company due to poor family control over them. Then society viewed them as an inferior view that they are not socially qualified. The results of the study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the age or gender variable, while statistically significant differences appeared due to the scientific qualification variable.
